I know what you may be thinking. 30 days going completely sugar free? How can anyone live like that?
OK, well maybe you’re not that dramatic in your thinking, but you may be thinking that I’m crazy for wanting to try it. I may be, but it’s something that I have been thinking about doing for quite awhile now, and after seeing a post from Pinch of Yum and how she’s doing it.. I thought.. heck yea.. let’s do this!
Sugar doesn’t play a huge part of my day to day diet, but I do know that I love to snack and ‘treat’ myself to some sweet things after just about every meal. This challenge will be good for me to see not only where I have too much sugar in my diet, but also where it may be hiding in my diet as well.
For this 30 Day Sugar Free Challenge there are NO RULES… NO SET PLANS.. just each person ridding their diet of whatever level of sugar they see fit. Come join me, and a few of my friends, as we do this challenge together.
We Will Need Each Other
Doing a challenge like this can will be hard. Changing your diet is always a challenge, but ridding it of something that keeps us coming back for more time and time again, is even harder. That’s why we need support and encouragement from others that are doing the challenge alongside of us.
That’s why I’ve put together a Facebook group just for this challenge!
In this Facebook group, we will be able to come alongside to help support and encourage each other as we go 30 days without sugar.
I’ll be posting articles, tips, recipes, and much more too!
It’s a judgement free zone. No crazy rules, just a place where we can share what our goals/intentions are and have people helps us and hold us accountable.
Why Go Sugar Free?
We all pretty much know that sugar isn’t good for us. Refined sugar is even worse. Yet, we still allow it to creep into our diets and keep us addicted to it.
Yes, I said addicted.. because that’s what we are. I am.. and if you eat it or drink it on a daily basis, so are you.
Whether it’s in the form of a candy bar or even in your yogurt.. sugar will keep you coming back for more every time.
Study after study has shown that sugar could be addictive. It even has the same effect on our brain as cocaine does. YUCK! Who wants that!
That’s a little scary right?
Well, don’t let it discourage you though or think there’s no hope. Going sugar free or even cutting back on your sugar intake is totally doable.
No Rules.. No Plans.. Just Do It Your Way
The rules and plans for this sugar free challenge are that there are none.
What level and how you go sugar free is all on you. If you want to go TOTALLY without.. Go for It! If you just want to cut out refined sugar.. that’s great too!
The whole challenge is in your hands. I’m just here, along with some friends, to encourage you and help you any way I can.
So come join us. Join the Facebook group and go Sugar Free with us for 30 Days!
