Years ago, when our family started making adjustments to the way we ate, finding recipes that worked for the holidays was hard. This was before Pinterest and all the food blogs that are out there now. It was hard putting together a traditional holiday meal and have it be something we could all eat at the same time. And even though there are plenty of ways to find delicious recipes to make now, I thought it would be fun to share with you 15 allergy friendly Thanksgiving recipes that will may be trying this year.
I love to cook, but I also enjoy seeing all the amazing creations that my fellow ‘foodie’ bloggers are coming up with. Being able to access so many different blogs and websites via the internet is something I am extremely thankful for this year… though my waistline would probably say something different.
Start The Morning Off With These Treats
OK. Now I know what you may be thinking… these aren’t a very ‘healthy’ way to start the morning. And you know what, I would totally agree with you…. IF it wasn’t a holiday.
Part of living a healthy lifestyle is being OK with treating yourself with some sweets and such every once and awhile., and especially during the holidays. Just don’t go overboard and you’ll be fine.
I just posted these Gluten Free and Dairy Free Pumpkin Pie Donuts last week and they are already quite a hit. When I made them the first time, I totally imagined sitting down and watching the Macy’s Day Parade while snacking on these.
If you need a nut-free version, just omit the crumb topping and sprinkle with brown sugar.
If you’re looking for something not so sweet, but that will still taste amazing, make these Orange Cranberry Muffins from Jill Conyers site. The combo of the orange and the cranberry will get your morning going right from the start.
Moving On To The Appetizers
I love a good appetizer, yet I have to pace myself. I don’t want to fill up on these tasty treats before the big meal arrives. Yet, these delicious and beautiful recipes would be hard to push away.

Where’s The Main Dish?
It’s Thanksgiving.. where’s the main dish recipes?
Well, for this post I thought it would be fun to leave that to your imagination. That’s what is so much fun about celebrating holidays, we all get to decide how we want to celebrate them and what we want to eat.
But Of Course There is Dessert
I couldn’t post this recipe collection without including some amazing sweets to eat. They may not be the healthiest of all, but they sure will bring a smile to your face for a day or two.
