Vegan Cheeseburger Soup

Before you click away thinking that there is no way you would like a non-meat cheeseburger soup, you might might want to give this recipe a try. Packed with a ton of cheeseburger-ish flavor, this soup may even have your biggest carnivore asking for seconds.

Creating a meat-like flavor isn't easy, it's not even something I necessarily shoot for, but creating a dish that will stand up next to a meat based dish and hold it's on, is pretty darn awesome. And that's what this soup is.. pretty darn awesome.

Creating A Different 'Main' Ingredient

As more and more people choose to eat less meat or go totally plant-based, companies are seeing the need to produce products that can be used as meat substitutes. Just take a walk down the frozen food aisle and you will find products like Beyond Meat and Morning Star that are addressing just that issue.

Buying premade crumbles is easy to do, but if you want to make a homemade version, check out this really easy recipe that I came up with a year or so ago. This recipe is soy-free, gluten-free, dairy-free, and of course.. meat-free.

Veggies And Fake Meat.. It Actually Works

I'm not crazy. I know when someone looks over this recipe they will probably think that there is no way that this can actually taste good. Yet I am here to tell you, it really does taste pretty darn amazing.

Years ago I made a cheeseburger soup recipe that included a lot of the ingredients that are in this one. I would have never thought that putting vegetables like carrots, celery, and few others together, along with the ground beef would create something that tasted good, but it actually worked.

And now that I've created a vegan version, substitutes and all, this one works even better.

Give It A Try..

If I was a betting person, I would place a bet that if you tried this recipe you would not be surprised at how amazing it tasted, but that it would be something you would make over and over again.

So even though there is no official bet.. I'd still love to see you give this a try.
