Homemade Ranch Dressing - Dairy Free & Gluten Free

Homemade Ranch Dressing

Ranch Dressing is one of my favorite dressings. Not only is it amazing on salads, it's also great to dip pizza crust in and so much more. There's one thing though that ruins it for me... it's usually made with milk products.

When you're lactose intolerant (and also just don't like milk) like me, you make it a point to find new ways to make your favorites without the cow based ingredients.

And that's how this Homemade Ranch Dressing recipe came about.

It Doesn't Have to Be Difficult

I have been making this recipe for years now.

A lot of the time I will make a triple batch and keep it in air-tight container to use as a spice. Sprinkling it into mashed potatoes or using it as dry rub on some organic chicken, this recipe is very versatile and easy to make.

With just a few simple ingredients, you too can have this mixture packed away in your spice cabinet, just waiting to be used in your very own recipe.

Homemade Ranch Dressing

A Dressing You'll Love

As a dressing, this one gets better with age. The longer it sits and the ingredients meld together.. WOW.. the better is tastes.

I say that, but to be honest, it never lasts that long in my house. Even those who can easily tolerate a bottled ranch dressing enjoy my homemade version.

I could protest and say that it's a special one for me, believe me I tried.. but they really do love it.

And if you never made a homemade dressing before.. this one is a great one to try.

Homemade Ranch Dressing

With Milk or With Out

Now I am running on about making this dairy-free, but of course you can make it with dairy products if you like. It will taste just as amazing.

Homemade Ranch Dressing

Double It, Triple It, Heck.. Double Double It..

I have to include the suggestion of making a BULK version of the dry ingredients again. Making a large batch of this and keeping it in an air-tight container is a great way to have it all ready and on hand for when the first batch disappears.

Because, believe me.. it will.

And Now.. The Recipe

Without further a do.. here is the recipe..

I'm a big fan of ranch dressing but I have to admit I've never tried to make my own. I like that you've created a dairy-free option, it looks good!

  2. This sounds great! What a nice option for those who can't have dairy. I've done ranch from scratch a few times but never attempted a DF option.

  3. YESSSS! My husband is a ranch junkie - I would love to make this for him and spare the crap ingredients in the bottled version!

  4. This looks super creamy and tasty!!

  5. It is Abbey. You can add some nut milk to make it not so thick.. but it's great to dip in when it's thick like that!

  6. Go for it Chrissa! It's super easy to make! Make a bulk version of the dry mix because you'll want to go back and make more.

  7. It's actually really good. Even my dairy enjoying hubby likes this version too. LOL.

  8. Oh Janelle, you should try. It's so much better and you can adjust it to what you like. Go for it. LOL.

  9. This sounds really, really, really good!

  10. Oh it is. There is always a jar in my fridge! Yummy!
